Miami has recently become one of the easiest places to find a healthy and quick bite to eat. Most conventional restaurants have wider menus that accommodate many dietary restrictions and there are great vegan high-end restaurants. Below is a list of the trusty few I gravitate toward when I’m in a rush and want a healthy snack or quick meal.
Though now closed, I wanted to give a quick shout-out to JugoFresh. They were the first to introduce yummy plant-based food that was craved and loved by the Miami masses. I will personally miss the Açai Bowl and “Saca Lo” shot the most, well and the occasional shake to walk around Whole Foods. JugoFresh will be missed ❤

For when you have a sweet tooth and are in the mood to shop: Chef Chloe and the Vegan Café at St. Roch Market
I walked into St. Roch Market for a snack after some window shopping in Design District and it was very easy to decide where I was going to eat after I recognized Chloe’s name. I tried all the cookies and cupcakes and was so impressed with the chocolate chip cookies that I bought all the ones they had left and took them to a friend’s house as a gift.

For when you’re looking to treat yourself: Dr. Smood
With a couple of locations in Miami and NYC, Dr. Smood is a place I can’t help but walk into when I’m in close proximity. The reason? Their Sweet and Salty treats are not only packed with protein, selenium and yummy superfoods, they’re also extremely addicting. Another favorite of mine is the Matcha Latte. They were the first ones that got me craving one and trying to figure out how to make it at home.

Vegan Options: Numerous. Make sure to ask which dips are vegan. They’re pretty great at explaining.
